Job Description

Junior PIV Support Specialist Minimum Experience:
Two (2) years of related experience, including at least one (1) year of PIV card diagnostics experience. Functional Description Performs identity proofing by verifying and documenting two acceptable forms of identity source documentation provided by applicants. Reviews DOT Form 1681 for accuracy and confirms the presence of authorized FAA sponsor signatures. Attaches completed Form I-9 documentation, when provided, to the DOT Form 1681 package. Captures applicant fingerprints and photographs, as required, and collects investigative forms for submission to the Registrar. Enters and maintains applicant information within the IMS or CMS identification media systems. Validates that the Registrar (Personnel Security Specialist) has authorized issuance of the PIV card prior to card production. Issues identification cards in accordance with FAA-approved procedures, including the processing of remote badges. Notifies applicants when cards are available for pickup. Verifies applicant identity at the time of card issuance using biometric fingerprint validation and securely delivers the identification card. Provides applicants with guidance regarding safeguarding procedures and reporting requirements for lost or stolen identification cards. Files or electronically scans DOT Form 1681 documentation in accordance with established procedures. Provides support and assistance to other Personnel Security Specialists as needed. May be required, at the direction of the Division Manager, to travel to FAA regional facilities to support the deployment and implementation of PIV card issuance processes. Other Requirements Experience working with PIV provisioning software is required. PIV card diagnostic experience is mandatory. Must possess experience using computer systems, software applications, web-based applications, and Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required to effectively interact with customers and resolve potential issues professionally. Must demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet agency and customer deadlines. Minimum Education Associate of Arts (AA) or Associate of Science (AS) degree in a related field. Personnel Security Requirements All contractors supporting ASH systems, resources, or information must meet the background investigation requirements outlined in FAA Order 1600.1, Personnel Security Program , and FAA Order 1600.72, Industrial Security Program . Due to the sensitive nature of the work performed by ASH, all contractor positions are designated as high-risk positions. Contractor personnel must be willing to undergo an FAA background investigation and complete the following forms: SF-85P
