Job Summary The department of Cooperative Extension Services (CES) is seeking a 4-H Data and Event Coordinator. With minimal supervision, you will provide leadership to the Indiana 4-H Youth Development Program in reporting and accountability and event management.What You'll Be Doing:
Ensuring end-user support for the 4-H data management systems, including both Extension staff and Extension clientele Guiding end users in accessing the system for a variety of functions including 4-H events and activities. End users include county extension office staff, guardians of 4-H participants, volunteers, and other professional and support staff Managing the data and databases to ensure proper tracking and documentation and end-user support requests Facilitating changes in the data management system based on data collection, end user requests and State 4-H Office decisions Creating Purdue Extension-specific, accessible documentation for staff implementation of data management system setup and functionality Troubleshooting, creating, and updating FAQs for end users Determining appropriate delivery methods for system training and communication Developing and conducting online training opportunities for staff related to the system's functionality; new employees enter the system monthly Identifying unique needs and maintaining responsiveness to emerging issues Providing leadership and oversight to set up and facilitate the use of the data management system's applications for state 4-H statewide events and activities, such as the State Fair, camps, and Career Development Events, as well as smaller local events, which may include processing the collection of registrations and fees Developing and running standard and specific 4-H data requests and reports for business office, campus faculty and staff, and Extension leadershipWhat We're Looking For:
Master's degree in communications, management, education or related field 6 months of experience with analyzing data and event management In lieu of degree, an equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered. (Bachelors degree + 2.5 years of experience) Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with a diverse audience of internal and external stakeholders Strong planning and communication skills, attention to detail, leadership, teamwork and group process skills Understanding of importance of data utilization to demonstrate programmatic impact Ability to analyze data Ability to work with minimal supervision, including prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines What We'd Like You toKnow:
