•$79,351.46 POSITION SUMMARY This position works with the Assistant Assessor and other office staff in all aspects of the Assessing Department, to include administrative and assessing tasks. Operates within the policies and objectives of the City to perform field reviews, mapping changes, and administrative functions. It involves support to achieve valuation equity and classification of all properties. Assists with in-house revaluation and certification programs required by the Department of Revenue. Responsible for sales review, building permit inspections, general data collection and all other tasks required under the supervision of the Director of Assessing.

ESSENTIAL JOB

FUNCTIONS and DUTIES Data Collection, Building Permits and Sales Inspections Utilize and maintain accurate data in the Vision CAMA system to track building permit activity, certificates of occupancy, sales and abatement field reviews. Prints copies of property record cards for use in field inspections, checks deeds and MLS for data discrepancies and utilizes inspections forms for consistent and all-inclusive review of data. Schedules and performs interior and exterior appointments with measurements for building permits, cyclical inspections, sales inspections and abatement reviews. Conducts in-depth field inspections and updates CAMA system. Updates and utilizes Vision Appraisal System and all other office software to ensure accurate data. Inspect and review parcels to reflect changes. Tracks a list of mapping changes. Updates photos and reviews work with supervisor. Reviews field measurements with Nearmap software.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience Associates degree and one (1) year of assessing experience; or three (3) years of any combination of education, training and experience that provides the equivalent required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job. Valuation experience and knowledge of construction is beneficial. MAA or IAAO designation or ability to achieve it within three (3) years of hire date.
