Database Engineer 3
What Impact You'll HaveGRVTY is seeking experienced Database Engineers to develop capabilities to shift from the current manual system security evaluation and authorization process to a new model that emphasizes automation, streamlined processes and approvals, continuous monitoring and assessment, and network data gathering across the entire life cycle of a project.
What You'll be Owning
- Design, develop, implement, and maintain MongoDB databases supporting enterprise security automation initiatives.
- Support database information storage and retrieval, data flow and analysis activities.
- Analyze and evaluate system improvements, optimization, development and/or maintenance efforts.
- Design and implement complex database storage and retrieval using Cloud methodologies.
- Optimize database performance, including indexing strategies, query optimization, and resource utilization.
- Implement and maintain database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Configure replication, sharding, and high-availability solutions.
- Design the overall database structure to fit into the system's architecture.
- Create new workflows to automate existing processes as well as provide break/fix requests or updates.
- Lead development of database structures, database parser software, and database loading software.
- Monitor database health, performance metrics, and security compliance.
- Direct fulfillment of requirements from project inception to conclusion.
- Create and maintain comprehensive database documentation including document schemas, collection relationships (embedding vs.
referencing), indexing strategies, sharding configuration, and data access patterns.
What You Must Have
- 10 years of experience as a DBE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- 5 years of DBE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
- Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.
