Data modeling & architecture SME
Neevsys is currently seeking a subject-matter expert who sets the design foundation for backend engineering — the data models, standards, and architecture that keep the warehouse and data-quality pipelines cont and scalable.
Responsibilities
- Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models across the program.
- Define data architecture, standards, and modeling conventions for backend engineering.
- Advise developers on schema design, normalization vs. dimensional modeling, and integration patterns.
- Support data quality and governance through sound model and metadata design.
- Review designs and guide technical direction for backend / data engineering.
Required skills
- Deep data modeling expertise — conceptual / logical / physical, normalization, and dimensional (star / snowflake).
- Data architecture across OLTP and analytical / warehouse systems.
- Strong SQL Server / relational database background.
- Ability to set standards and advise or mentor engineering teams.
- US work authorization; clearance eligibility per contract environment.
Preferred
- Data governance, master data management, or metadata management.
- Modeling tools (erwin, ER/Studio, or similar).
- Cloud data architecture (Azure Synapse, Snowflake, or similar).
