Data Center Operations Manager, Third Shift Google - 4.3 Kansas City, MO Job Details Full-time $138,000 - $200,000 a year 2 hours ago Qualifications Managing IT teams Managing tech infrastructure teams Full Job Description Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience. 8 years of experience in computing infrastructure, networking, operating systems, or hardware. 5 years of experience managing technical, vendor, contract management, or delivery teams. Ability to work non-standard hours, including working weekends, night shifts, holidays and on shift-based schedules as required.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience working in data center environments, including building and operating large-scale infrastructure, and network and compute architecture and lifecycle, and Linux/Unix system administration. Experience with initiating and executing strategic initiatives in a global environment. Track record of leading and improving Environmental Health and Safety initiatives. Ability to implement and drive the safety culture at the site, while fostering a collaborative team environment. Excellent strategic problem-solving skills. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

$138000 - $200000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits Learn more about benefits at Google. Responsibilities Provide dedicated on-shift leadership, performance management, and escalations support during regular business hours (11:00 PM - 7:30 AM, third (3rd) Shift). Work together to identify and resolve problems and create solutions for our global computing and network architecture. Hire, coach and develop a team while achieving strategic business goals. Ensure data center-related priorities are consistent with company objectives. Demonstrate the ability to implement and drive the safety culture at the site, while fostering a collaborative team environment. Support and contribute to the implementation of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and other compliance programs and initiatives in collaboration with other teams to ensure environmental and safety incidents are investigated, resolved, and reported.
