GENERAL PURPOSE

Responsible for the design, execution, and analysis of data-driven research initiatives to support strategic decision-making and instructional improvements across the district. Has a specific focus on utilizing advanced statistical knowledge and methodologies to partner with district leaders and key stakeholders to translate complex data into actionable insights and systems that drive organizational outcomes.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Manages the scoping, planning, and execution of district-wide data analysis projects, ensuring alignment with district goals and priorities.

Collaborates with a diverse range of internal stakeholders, including district leaders, educators, and staff, to identify research needs and ensure projects address evolving requirements.

Utilizes advanced statistical and research methods to design and execute effective studies, leveraging tools such as R, Jamovi, or SPSS.

Creates actionable and user-friendly reports and dashboards using data visualization platforms such as PowerBI to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.

Summarizes and presents research findings to district leaders and other stakeholders, ensuring data is conveyed in a clear and understandable manner to drive informed decision-making.

Develops and implements innovative approaches to data collection, analysis, and reporting to enhance organizational outcomes.

Oversees the integrity and accuracy of data used in research initiatives, including reviewing data sources, methodologies, and analysis outputs.

Identifies trends and patterns within data to uncover key insights that inform district strategies and initiatives.

Monitors ongoing research projects to ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Works collaboratively with district teams to ensure the successful translation of research insights into actionable systems and strategies.

Manages the district research request and approval process, ensuring alignment with district policies and priorities while facilitating effective communication with internal and external researchers.

Responds to inquiries from a variety of District personnel for providing support and technical advice regarding best practices in data analytics.

Performs other related duties as required/assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, required. Doctoral degree preferred.

Minimum of three (3) years of job-related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is required.

Certificates, Licenses and Other Special Requirements

Must pass a Criminal Background Clearance, the results of which must be satisfactory to the District, required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Advanced knowledge of statistical methodologies, including multiple regression, stepwise regression, and hypothesis testing, with the ability to interpret and communicate results effectively.

Ability to gather, analyze, and synthesize large datasets using SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Azure Data Studio, SSRS, and SSIS, as well as program in Python and utilize advanced Microsoft Excel functions such as Power Query.

Proficiency in utilizing statistical software, including Jamovi, R, and SPSS, to design and executive research studies and perform advanced data analysis.

Skill to perform multiple, technical tasks with a need to routinely upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions.

Ability to create actionable reports and dashboards using tools such as PowerBI to effectively translate data insights into practical applications.

Proficiency in gathering and classifying data, utilizing defined processes for data analysis, and operating relevant equipment and software to perform job-related tasks.

Skill-based competencies required to perform the functions of the job, including operating standard office equipment including utilizing pertinent software applications and developing effective working relationships.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts and research findings in a clear and accessible manner to varied audiences.

Ability to read technical information, compose a variety of documents, and/or facilitate group discussions.

Ability to analyze situations to define issues, draw conclusions, and create action plans.

Ability to schedule a number of activities, meetings, and/or events; gather, collate, and/or classify data; and use job-related equipment.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Work environment is primarily inside, where the noise and temperature levels are moderate.

The work is light work that requires exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force to move objects.

Must possess the physical ability to perceive the nature of sounds, make rational decisions through sound logic and deductive processes, express or exchange ideas by the spoken word, substantial movements (motions) with the hands, wrists, and/or fingers, and discern letters or numbers at a given distance.

Additionally, the following physical abilities are required: balancing, climbing, crawling, crouching, feeling, grasping, handling, hearing, kneeling, manual dexterity, mental acuity, reaching, repetitive motion, speaking, standing, stooping, talking, visual acuity and walking.

Salary:

$67,306 to $97,594 Per Year

Job Requirements
