Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data Architect in Charlotte, NC.

Overview:

The Financial Management & Regulatory Reporting (FMR) platform is a mission-critical enterprise finance system that supports core financial close processes, management reporting, and multiple regulatory submissions, including supervisory and central bank reporting. The platform ingests, processes, and transforms data from a large and diverse set of upstream source systems and serves as a foundational component of the organization's Finance and Treasury reporting ecosystem. The application is currently hosted on a legacy mainframe architecture, which has introduced increasing operational, cost, and workforce risk, including limited agility, rising run costs, and a concentration of critical knowledge within a small group of specialized resources. To mitigate these risks, FMR is part of an active enterprise mainframe modernization initiative within the Finance organization, focused on a controlled, auditable migration to cloud-native platforms aligned with the firm's Finance Data Strategy on AWS. As part of this initiative, FMR workloads are being migrated to AWS, with Databricks and Snowflake serving as the core data and analytics platforms. The modernization effort includes re-architecting data ingestion, transformation, and reporting pipelines; implementing cloud-native security, encryption, and PII controls; and ensuring alignment with enterprise Information Security, Data Governance, and Risk Information Management (RIM) standards. The program targets full mainframe decommissioning over an approximately 15+ month horizon, while maintaining uninterrupted financial close and regulatory reporting throughout the transition. The initial phases of the program require deep domain expertise, close collaboration with onshore stakeholders, and hands-on technical leadership to navigate regulatory dependencies, data integrity requirements, and complex downstream integrations.

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
