This position is responsible for overseeing the acquisition, tracking, and management of information technology (IT) organizational assets throughout the College. This role ensures that all IT assets are efficiently utilized, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with NCDIT (State), local, and organizational policies. The Coordinator will work closely with various campus departments to optimize asset performance, manage inventory, and provide strategic recommendations to enhance asset management practices and align all activities with the strategic goals of the College to enhance overall IT performance. We offer a valuable benefits package that includes the following: NC State Health Plan NC State Retirement Plan Paid Leave Paid Holidays Cafeteria Plan (IRS Code Section 125) Educational Benefits Longevity TRICARE Supplement Benefits Full-time employee benefits Duties Essential Duties— Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: Maintain accurate records of all IT-related College assets, including acquisition, location, status, and disposition. Conduct regular audits and physical inventories to verify asset records and ensure data accuracy. Oversee the tracking and management of the asset lifecycle from acquisition to disposal. Coordinate the procurement of new IT assets, ensuring compliance with budgetary constraints and State-wide procurement policies. Generate and analyze reports on asset performance, utilization, and condition to inform decision-making. Work closely with other departments to understand IT asset needs and provide support for asset-related inquiries and issues. Communicate effectively with campus stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination of IT asset-related activities. Provide support and guidance to faculty and staff regarding IT asset usage, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Work closely with members of the Infrastructure Management team to coordinate automated application patching and updates in the Windows environment. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field or commensurate experience. Minimum of two years of IT asset management experience or similar role is required. Proven experience as an inventory manager with experience using IT service desk software such as Service Now, KACE, Manage Engine, or similar software. IT asset management certification, such as those provided by the International Association of Information Technology Asset Mangers (IAITAM) or the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) is a plus. CompTIA A+ certification is a plus.
