6/1/2026; Permanent Full-Time with Full Benefits 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, 12 months Position Summary The Student Information System (SIS) Specialist supports the effective operation of the district's Student Information System and related student data processes. Working under the direction of the Student Information System Coordinator, the SIS Specialist supports the district by providing training, troubleshooting, and technical assistance to school data managers and school administrators. This role ensures data integrity and accuracy by coordinating data processes, generating reports, and providing ongoing support to district administrators to inform decision-making and district operations. Working closely with the SIS Coordinator, the SIS Specialist provides technical assistance to the coordinator, school data managers and district personnel to help implement procedures and processes established to ensure compliance with state and federal reporting requirements. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or higher preferred in information technology, data management, education technology, or related field. Demonstrated experience working with Infinite Campus or a comparable Student Information System required. Experience working with student data in a K-12 school environment preferred. Qualifications / Skills Strong working knowledge of Infinite Campus functions and student data management processes, or a comparable Student Information System. Knowledge of K-12 enrollment, attendance, scheduling, and reporting practices. Knowledge of state and federal student data privacy regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to provide training and technical assistance to school-based staff. Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to data accuracy and integrity. Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suites, with an emphasis on Docs, Sheets, Word, and Excel. Essential Job Functions System Support Support the SIS Coordinator in maintaining the district's Student Information System. Assist with training and ongoing support to school-based data managers on the use of NCSIS, including data entry procedures, reporting processes, and system functionality. Assist with troubleshooting system issues and responding to data-related questions from schools and district departments. Assist with maintaining user accounts and access permissions as directed by the SIS Coordinator. Assist in preparing data for required state and federal reporting processes. Help develop and maintain system documentation, procedures, and user guidance materials. Other duties as assigned. Data Management and Reporting Assist with preparing reports and data files used for district decision-making and operational needs. Support the collection and verification of data used in state and federal reporting. Monitor routine reports related to enrollment, attendance, scheduling, and student records. Assist with beginning-of-year and end-of-year data processes. Oversee data entry for special programs in NCSIS. Work within the SIS department budget to process requisitions for purchases and training events in LINQ. Submit SIS-generated student data files to approved district partners. Perform other duties as assigned by the Student Information System Coordinator or district administration. Physical Requirements Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time.
