Job Description

Minimum Hiring Salary $31,200.00 (annually) The Campus Information Specialist serves as the primary point of contact, providing exceptional customer service while managing daily clerical operations. Key responsibilities include greeting visitors, managing multi-line phone systems, scheduling campus visits, and ensuring a welcoming and organized environment. This role is vital to maintaining a positive college image and supporting office efficiency. This role reports to the Director of Marketing, Communications, and Public Information. This list is meant to be representative, not exhaustive. Incumbents may not perform all the duties listed, while in other cases, related duties may also be assigned. Visitor Management:
Greet, welcome, and direct visitors to the appropriate person or office in a professional manner. Securing Maintain informational materials such as brochures, campus maps, and promotional items for visitors and prospective students. Manage the College's lost and found by receiving, logging, securing, and assisting individuals with the retrieval of lost items in accordance with established procedures.
Communication Hub:
Serve as the central point of contact by answering, screening, and directing incoming phone calls to the appropriate College departments. Respond to or route website inquiry submissions to the appropriate offices for a timely response. Assist with updating messaging on the campus marquee and campus television monitors. Provide support to the Marketing Department with communications and promotional tasks as needed.
Scheduling & Administration:
Review facility availability for internal and external requests, process event and room requests, and maintain accurate reservation records. Ensure room reservations are accurate and executed in accordance with established reservation procedures.
Office Maintenance:
Ensure the Information Desk area is tidy, stocked, and presentable. Acquire computer/technology competencies as appropriate to the position.
Professional Presence:
Maintain a welcoming and professional front desk environment that reflects the College's commitment to excellent customer service. Demonstrate professionalism, discretion, and strong interpersonal skills when interacting with students, employees, and community members. REQUIREMENTS
Education/Skills Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred:
Associate Degree in Office Administration or closely related field.
Experience:
Required:
Proven work experience as a front office representative or similar role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
