55.00 We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Database Specialist to support the implementation and optimization of our new Laboratory Information Management System. This role is central to ensuring a smooth transition, maintaining data integrity, and supporting ongoing system performance across the organization. Role Overview You will manage database operations, build reporting tools, support system integrations, and lead ETL efforts as we migrate to a new LIMS platform. This position requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with both IT and laboratory teams.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, standard business hours

Fairfield, NJ •Fully Onsite!•

Pay:

$50/hr - $55/hr

Terms:

Contract with strong potential for permanent hire Key Responsibilities Enhance and maintain SQL Server databases Develop reports using Crystal Reports and/or Microsoft Access Create custom EDDs (CSV, tab-delimited, Excel) Support LIMS integrations, instrument interfaces, and system configuration Troubleshoot and maintain Access/VBA programs Assist with ETL processes for migrating data into the new LIMS Maintain and update the company website Support computer system provisioning, configuration, and infrastructure Develop regulatory reporting formats Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience) 2 years of relevant experience Experience with laboratory information management systems is highly preferred. Must have experience with SQL query development (Access platform) Must have Visual Basic (VBA) programming experience ETL experience supporting data migration. •This job description is a complete list of all desired skills but not all are required.
