Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage the team responsible for the operation, maintenance, and reliability of the physical data center environments. Ensures continuous availability of critical infrastructure systems including power, cooling, environmental monitoring, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and backup generation. Proactively monitors conditions, responds to alarms and incidents, coordinates maintenance activities, and enforces safety, compliance, and operational standards to protect enterprise computing assets. Lead and collaborate with other IT team members to design and implement datacenter solutions that meet business, safety, and security requirements. Plan and implement upgrades or enhancements to datacenter operations to improve functionality and security. Application administration for enterprise job scheduling system. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continually improve reliability and performance. Document system configurations, procedures, and changes to maintain an accurate and comprehensive knowledge base.

Qualifications Required Education and Experience:

Associate's Degree + 6 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree + 4 years of relevant experience.

ITIL is Preferred and Experience with data center operations is preferred

Special Certification/Licensure:

•Must be authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.•Individuals who have completed college or university course work at an institution in a country other than the United States must obtain a complete evaluation of foreign transcripts, degrees, and the translation of other relevant employment documents prior to being offered employment at New Mexico State University. A foreign transcript evaluation is required any time foreign course work is used to meet an employment related credential requirement. An evaluation is required even if the foreign course work has been accepted by a college or university in the United States.•
