Position Summary:
This position in the
AFLCMC/WAC
program office at WPAFB requires skills in Configuration and Data Management (C/DM) discipline areas including Configuration Planning, Identification, Change Management, Verification and Audit, Status Accounting, and Data/Technical Content Management.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the C/DM activities within acquisition development, production, and sustainment phases in support of Systems Engineering processes. Activities will include Configuration Management, Data Management, Technical Order Management, Engineering Data Management, and Deficiency Reporting. Work collaboratively with prime contractors to ensure contractor C/DM methods are accomplished appropriately. Provide functional expertise and guidance to meet organizational goals and mission requirements. Establish and maintain consistency of a product's performance, functional, and physical attributes with its requirements, design, and operational information throughout its life. Analyze the impacts of the configuration management change process on lifecycle sustainment. Assist in the development and management of all Contract Data Requirement List (CDRL) requirements. Plan/implement Functional Configuration Audits (FCAs) and Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs) and confirm the adequacy of data used to support these audits. Support the configuration control function, to include receipt, dissemination, processing, tracking, and final disposition of Advanced Change Study Notices (ACSNs), Engineering Change Proposals (ECP), Contract Change Proposals (CCP), Requests for Deviation/Waiver (RFD/RFW), and Deficiency Reports (DRs). Review program-unique specifications to include system specifications, development specifications, and product specifications for both hardware and software, for proper format, content, and compliance with program requirements.

Required:
Minimum 8+ years of Configuration and Data Management experience. Active TS/SCI Clearance. Excellent communication, leadership, and training skills; initiative; and ability to create CMDM and Technical Order processes in line with Air Force and AFLCMC instructions, guidelines and processes. Familiar with industry standard SAE EIA-649C, its defense supplement EIA-649-1A, and applicable military and industry standards and handbooks. Extensive knowledge of government policies, directives, standards, handbooks, and pamphlets as well as DoD adopted industry standards relating to CM/DM. Demonstrated knowledge of CM/DM input requirements for program plans and SOWs, PWSs, CDRLs, Section L-Instructions to Offerors, and Section M-Basis for Award for RFPs, Military Standards (MILS) and Change Letters. Experience with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and JIRA.
