Description:
AgreeYa is a global Systems Integrator and is seeking an experienced , technical data steward to join our growing team. You ensure Employee Enablement Systems data is implemented, governed, and maintained in alignment with business intent and technical standards.
Job Responsibilities
What you'll do: Serve as the technical data steward responsible for ensuring Employee Enablement Systems data is implemented, governed, and maintained in alignment with business intent and technical standards.
Act as Technical SME for Data Domains
Serve as the subject matter expert for source systems and data domains, understanding application and system impacts of data decisions
Evaluate and communicate downstream system dependencies, constraints, and impacts
Bridge Business and Technology
Partner closely with Business Data Stewards and Data Owners to translate business data requirements into compliant technical implementations
Ensure alignment between business intent and technical execution
Support Data Governance & Compliance
Implement and enforce Data Governance policies, standards, and architectural principles across systems
Ensure governed data is implemented, maintained, and controlled in alignment with enterprise standards
Support audits, regulatory reviews, and remediation activities
Drive Data Quality & Defect Resolution
Identify root causes of data quality issues across systems and integrations
Partner on defect resolution and provide technical evidence for closure
Contribute to data quality metrics and reporting
Manage Critical Data Elements (CDEs)
Map critical data elements across source and downstream systems
Ensure correct implementation of CDE attributes and support periodic reviews
Maintain Metadata, Lineage & Data Catalog
Ensure accuracy of technical metadata and end-to-end data lineage
Support remediation of gaps identified through governance reviews or audits
Enforce data classification, privacy, and security requirements
Ensure Information Protection and Risk Management
Partner with security and privacy teams to enforce data protection standards
Identify and escalate risks related to inappropriate or unintended data usage
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in similar domain
Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, policies, and lifecycle management
Experience working with enterprise applications, databases, and system integrations
Hands-on experience with data quality monitoring, defect triage, and root cause analysis
Knowledge of metadata management, data lineage, and data catalog concepts
Familiarity with data privacy, security, and classification policies
Proven ability to translate business requirements into system-level data implementations
Strong collaboration skills across business, engineering, and governance teams
Strong SQL skills, including query optimization, performance tuning, and report development.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting audit, regulatory, or compliance-driven data initiatives
Exposure to Critical Data Elements (CDE) governance frameworks
Experience contributing to data quality metrics, dashboards, and governance reporting
Familiarity with enterprise data governance platforms and tooling ecosystems
Prior experience participating in data governance councils or working groups
Experience within financial services or other regulated industries
Advance Technical Experience (Preferred):
Experience working with data warehousing and lake house architecture
Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and associated data services
Experience with data cataloging, lineage automation, or metadata ingestion frameworks
Knowledge of data observability tools and monitoring frameworks
Exposure to data masking, tokenization, and sensitive data protection solutions
Understanding of DevOps/DataOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for data systems
