Columbus, OH or Cincinnati, OH or Pittsburgh, PA Minneapolis, MN or Dallas, TX or Tupelo, Alabama or Chicago, IL Charlotte, NC or Atlanta, Georgia Role description:
Duties & Responsibilities :
Proactive monitoring of Datastage performance and storage utilization Assist Development teams on new project creation, file directory setup, access provisioning and firewall rule creation Consult with Development on job performance, including consulting on database and file system performance Provision user and system access to ensure the least required privilege and separation of duties Ensure our environments are current and updated by applying system upgrades, certificate updates and ensuring system patches are applied as expected Support CI/CD job promotion process across environments Partner with IBM Support team to troubleshoot issues and apply updates Collaborate with development teams to implement best practices for job development, testing, and deployment. Enhance security practices and ensure compliance with enterprise technology standards and regulatory expectations. Identify improvement and automation opportunities for our internal processes and procedures Author and maintain internal documentation Provide operational support for system access and platform availability, including on-call rotation outside of standard business hours
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field 5+ years of experience with supporting ETL platforms/processes 2+ years of experience supporting IBM DataStage as an administrator 2+ years of Software Development experience, preferably in ETL job development
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with PL/SQL scripting, PowerShell, Python, or Bash Scripting Experience developing and maintain role-based user access processes (RBAC) Knowledge of Data Warehouses, ETL architecture and best practices Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Strong data analytical skills Experience with Unix/Linux based file systems Experience troubleshooting and updating
ODBC/JDBC
drivers Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple priorities and effectively prioritize them Experience working in a consumer-centric company, partnering with teams of technical professionals in a cross-functional environment Strong interpersonal and written communication skills Experience with GIT repository Experience with ServiceNow Experience in Financial Services or another regulated industry
