Learn more at ou.edu/research Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) Manager The Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) Research Manager is responsible for developing and overseeing institutional compliance with CUI regulations, including
NIST SP 800-171,CMMC 2.0
framework, and 32 CFR Part 2002, within research and operational environments. This role serves as the primary point of contact for all CUI-related matters, partnering with IT, research offices, and senior leadership to build compliant systems, policies, and training programs that protect federally funded research. Some of the primary duties of this position include: SSP authorship, policies and procedures management in collaboration with OU Information Technology, and familiarity with identity and access management, audit logging and SIEM, familiarity with authorized FedRAMP cloud environments, and vulnerability management. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in cybersecurity or a related field, brings at least five years of experience in information or research security, and holds a CISSP, CISM, or CMMC Assessor certification. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator who can translate complex regulatory requirements for a wide range of audiences, from researchers to executives.
