Job Description:
Job Overview The Director of Customer Program Management will lead the Customer Program Management (CPM) function responsible for driving strategic customer engagement, program execution, organizational alignment, and business growth across assigned customers and market segments. This leader will manage, coach, and develop Customer Program Managers while ensuring the function operates with a clear winning strategy, disciplined execution model, consistent customer messaging, and strong cross-functional alignment. This is a senior, highly visible role accountable for establishing the CPM operating model, developing a high-performing team, prioritizing critical programs, and driving the cross-functional decisions and actions required to pursue, win, launch, ramp, and sustain strategic customer programs. The Director will partner closely with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and executive leadership to translate customer and business priorities into strategies and executable plans that deliver successful customer and business outcomes. A successful Director of Customer Program Management will: Build and lead a high-performing CPM function with clear standards, accountability, and talent development. Create winning customer strategies in partnership with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Operations leadership. Provide executive-level customer and internal communication that is structured, reliable, and action-oriented. Anticipate risks, remove barriers, and drive organizational focus on the most impactful priorities. Balance strategy and execution by translating customer requirements into clear internal priorities, timelines, and ownership. Act as a senior thought partner, connecting the right people, decisions, and resources to enable customer and business success. Key Responsibilites Lead, coach, and develop the Customer Program Management team while building a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Define CPM roles, operating standards, engagement models, tools, communication cadences, and escalation processes to ensure consistent execution across the organization. Establish expectations for customer ownership, communication quality, program execution, and cross-functional coordination. Build organizational capability through training, mentoring, succession planning, and performance management. Align CPM resources to support the highest-value customers, programs, and strategic business opportunities. Partner with Sales and Product Management leadership to define customer growth strategies and prioritize key program pursuits. Serve as a senior escalation and alignment point for strategic customers and major customer programs. Translate customer roadmaps, technical requirements, commercial objectives, and operational commitments into executable plans. Support executive customer engagements, business reviews, design-in strategies, and major program negotiations as needed. Maintain a strong voice-of-customer perspective while balancing business, operational, and commercial objectives. Establish and maintain a consistent governance model for customer programs, including dashboards, review cadences, decision forums, executive reporting, and escalation protocols. Drive alignment across Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, Pricing, Demand Planning, and Customer Care. Ensure organizational focus on critical risks, gaps, commitments, and decisions required to win and execute customer programs successfully. Provide clear communication that connects customer priorities, business impact, resource requirements, timing, and execution status. Facilitate resolution of competing priorities, customer requirements, and organizational constraints that may impact execution. Ensure disciplined tracking of customer schedules, internal deliverables, program risks, recovery plans, and key decision points. Monitor readiness across commercial, technical, operational, quality, manufacturing, and supply chain functions for strategic programs. Identify systemic barriers and lead escalation efforts to resolve issues before they impact customer commitments or business outcomes. Drive consistent program reviews, action tracking, lessons learned, and continuous improvement activities across the CPM organization. Maintain visibility into program health, customer sentiment, commercial impact, and execution risk. Develop and monitor metrics that measure customer program performance, CPM effectiveness, execution health, and overall business impact. Partner with commercial and operations leaders to assess the revenue, margin, delivery, quality, capacity, and customer satisfaction implications of major programs. Standardize best practices across customer engagement, program reviews, communication, escalation management, and action tracking. Continuously improve processes, tools, and operating mechanisms to increase organizational speed, clarity, accountability, and impact. What your background should look like Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Engineering, Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related technical or commercial discipline. MBA or advanced degree preferred. 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in customer-facing, cross-functional, and growth-oriented environments. Experience in customer program management, strategic account leadership, commercial leadership, sales, product management, business development, engineering, technical program management, manufacturing,operations, supply chain, or related disciplines. Demonstrated success managing strategic customer relationships and executive-level customer engagement. Experience leading program management teams, customer-facing organizations, or complex cross-functional initiatives. Proven ability to drive major product development, design-in activities, launches, ramps, and customer execution programs. Strong executive communication, organizational storytelling, and leadership reporting capabilities. Solid commercial and financial acumen, including experience evaluating revenue, margin, pricing, capacity, and customer impacts. Strong understanding of manufacturing, operations, supply chain, quality, and technical execution fundamentals. Connector industry experience is a plus. Familiarity with data center, AI, compute, networking, and storage applications is a plus. Executive presence and the ability to establish credibility with customers and senior leaders. Proven ability to create strategy, drive alignment, and deliver results. Strong people leadership, coaching, and talent development capabilities. Ability to influence and lead across functions without direct authority. Exceptional interpersonal, collaboration, and conflict-resolution skills. Advanced communication, presentation, and business storytelling abilities. Technical curiosity and the ability to engage credibly in technical and operational discussions. Demonstrated expertise in program governance, risk management, and escalation management. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives in a fast-paced environment. Experience building scalable processes, dashboards, and operating mechanisms that improve organizational effectiveness, speed, and accountability.

COMPENSATION
  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $168,700 - 279,200 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
