Job Description
Summary The Student Information Systems (SIS) Coordinator is responsible for managing all district and state data systems, maintaining accurate student enrollment and demographic records, and ensuring compliance with state and federal reporting requirements. This role is central to data integrity across the district, supports staff in effective use of student data systems, and provides high-quality customer service to district families. This is a 12-month, 7-hour-per-day position within the Student Services department. This position would likely begin in March or April of 2027. Responsibilities Manage all district and state data systems, including PIMS, the Student Information System, district messaging systems, and internally hosted databases. Manage the PowerSchool database and server, completing updates and upgrades and communicating application changes to administration. Connect SIS data to third-party software vendors following data security protocols for Single Sign-On, rostering, and reporting. Interact with data in third-party software as needed, including Library, Food Services, Special Education, and Curriculum systems. Respond to tickets related to rostering, PowerSchool, and Canvas. Prepare, submit, and maintain data for state and federal reports, including PIMS, PASecureID, Civil Rights, DRC, and FRCPP. Manage the enrollment process for new students, including reviewing enrollment documents, verifying residency, and entering student information into the SIS. Maintain and update enrollment records to ensure accurate demographic information, including contact details, guardianship status, and emergency contacts. Verify residency documentation for enrolled students in accordance with district policy and state regulations. Requirements Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Knowledge of district and state data systems, including student information systems, learning management systems, PIMS state reporting, and federal Civil Rights reporting. Ability to manage administrative software systems and maintain accurate student enrollment and demographic records. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with students, families, staff, and administrators. Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion in handling sensitive student data and records.
