The DataEvaluation Associate is responsible for the tracking, management, analysis, and reporting of outcomes and programmatic data for Center of Life programs and operations. The DataEvaluation Associate works under the direction of the Director of Operations to ensure data collection mechanisms, assessments, surveys, and other quality improvement measures are maintained, updated and implemented across programs consistently. The DataEvaluation Associate works at the nexus between Operations, Program, and Development departments to understand COL's overall goals and proposed outcomes and ensure all data acquisition, analysis, and reporting processes are carried out effectively. This role combines hands-on database administration and reporting responsibilities with strategic evaluation and organizational learning work. Primary goals, duties and responsibilities: Data Collection, Analysis, and Reporting Ensure the functionality, accuracy, and maintenance of Center of Life's program database systems (Apricot, Cityspan), including monthly audits, regular check-ins with users, and implementation of new workflows and processes as programs and best practices evolve Develop, revise, and maintain data collection mechanisms to ensure alignment with all internal and external data reporting requirements Conduct data analysis and draft reports/presentations and dashboards for funder/partner reporting as well as internal program development and evaluation Translate data analysis into concrete and actionable insights for COL staff to develop program curricula and organizational practices Provide timely data updates for org-wide purposes as needed (i.e. website, social media, annual reports, media releases, etc) Reconcile data across various funders/partner required systems and databases Develop and adhere to a data review, reconciliation, and reporting schedule Manage staff access and user permissions within program database system and D&E documents, and maintain ethical stewardship of participant and organizational data Ensure alignment between data collection and grant outcomes/measures, and communicate expected outcomes to relevant staff Integrate various data points and sources to create cohesive and compelling data-driven impact stories and outcomes summaries as requested by leadership for use in reporting to the Board of Directors, in formulating grants, or appealing to individual donors Program Evaluation and Data Partnerships Support the Director of Operations in implementing organization-wide assessments, evaluation, and goal-tracking practices (Logic Model, OKR development and check-ins, People-Centered Practice Evaluation Models) Ensure that relevant staff are appropriately trained in the use of evaluation and measurement tools Working with Director of Development and program leadership, draft and develop outcomes and measures for grant proposals that align with program goals and capacity Attend COL programming regularly (monthly) for familiarity, relationship building, observation Support the development of evolving evaluation measures and tools as needed Facilitate the building and maintaining of relationships with all data/evaluation related partnerships and initiatives Administrative Responsibilities Oversee all administrative aspects of program data and evaluation, including the maintenance of files, reports, and evaluation tools across Center of Life Sharepoint environments Develop and update documentation of critical D&E processes Conduct regular data maintenance checks and address issues as they come up with staff access or usage of all DataEvaluation systems or processes Remain abreast of new best practices and professional development/networking opportunities related to DataEvaluation General Center of Life Expectations Maintain regular office hours including routine observation of each program Attend COL staff meetings Participate as an active member of Center of Life staff Adhere to all Center of Life's policies and procedures Meet bi-weekly with Immediate Supervisor and any direct reports Adhere to the security, accuracy and operability of the daily communication and program reporting needs of COL Contribute to the development of a supportive and collaborative work environment
Qualifications:
3-5 years of professional experience working in a data/evaluation role in a community-focused, trauma-informed nonprofit or similar environment strongly preferred Strong organizational skills and ability to manage various tasks across a diverse, people-centered organization Experience with both quantitative and qualitative data analysis methods (academic or professional) Experience or aptitude for working in CRMs or program database (Bonterra, Apricot) Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Microsoft Forms, Power BI, Sharepoint Track record of translating data insights into visualizations and actionable strategies Strong people skills and ability to work with diverse groups and stakeholders A positive and innovative approach to problem-solving in a rapidly evolving non-profit environment Master's degree in Data Analytics; Data Management; Public Policy; Non-Profit Management; or related field preferred, not required Clear local, state and federal clearances, and child abuse checks and complete all COL employment documentation.
