Full-time Description:
Reports to: Director of Data Management Position Overview The Development Data Associate supports the Development Office by ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and availability of actionable, insight-driven donor data. This role contributes to driving data alignment, enhancing data systems, and reinforcing a culture of data-informed decision-making, while supporting the effective operation of development systems and processes. Reporting to the Director of Data Management, this role is responsible for advancing data quality, reporting, and operational workflows, including testing, quality assurance, and implementation of development-related initiatives. The Associate delivers timely, segmented donor reports that equip Development teams to evaluate engagement, assess giving trends, and manage portfolio performance across the territory. The Associate plays a key role in advancing the Collaborative Development Alignment Project, a five-year strategic organizational initiative. This includes contributing to the standardization of data practices, strengthening reporting consistency, and ensuring that donor insights are reliable, scalable, and decision-ready across the broader spiritual family. This position is ideal for an individual who demonstrates analytical rigor, systems thinking, and attention to detail, who is motivated to advance fundraising effectiveness and mission impact through data-driven insights. Key Responsibilities Data Management Maintain and enhance donor records within the CRM system to ensure data integrity and long-term usability Ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness across development databases through proactive data governance practices Execute data imports, exports, and record reconciliation with a high degree of precision Conduct regular data audits and lead data clean-up initiatives to uphold data quality standards Support gift entry verification and donation reconciliation processes Support mailing list generation, segmentation, and data preparation for donor communications Coordinate and fulfill data needs for fundraising campaigns, appeals, and events Contribute to prospect research and donor analytics to inform development strategy Reporting & Analytics Develop and deliver recurring and ad hoc reports and dashboards for leadership and Development teams Generate segmented, insight-driven donor analyses, including giving history, engagement patterns, and trend identification across the broader spiritual family Monitor and analyze fundraising performance metrics, donor behavior, and campaign effectiveness Prepare and synthesize data for leadership presentations and strategic planning efforts Collaborative Development Alignment Project Support Execute data imports, record reconciliation and validation Help test data integrations, reporting structures, and alignment workflows as they are implemented Assist in validating donor data consistency across apostolates, territories, and development systems Provide operational support during rollout of new alignment tools, processes, and reporting structures Help document processes and identify data issues or improvements as alignment initiatives evolve Generate timely segmented reports on donors, including giving history, engagement, and trends across the broader spiritual family for the Development Alignment Restructure Systems & Process Improvement Collaborate with the Director of Data Management to evaluate and enhance development systems and workflows Support the development and documentation of data standards, governance practices, and reporting protocols Contribute to the implementation and optimization of new tools and system integrations Identify and drive opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and effectiveness in development operations Work Location This position is fully remote, with the expectation that the employee will effectively collaborate with team members across multiple locations and time zones. Travel Expectations This role may require limited travel (approximately 10 - 15%), primarily to support development alignment initiatives, team meetings, training sessions, or internal planning gatherings.
