Key responsibilities include addressing inquiries regarding official Business Profile Reviews, general BBB Services, scams, and appropriately referring consumers to external organizations when inquiries fall outside the scope of the BBB. Essential Duties & Responsibilites The core duties of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
Consumer Inquiry Management:
  • Answer the public telephone line, providing advice and counseling on BBB services (Business Reviews, Consumer Tips, Complaint Handling Processes).
  • Offer referrals to external agencies as alternative options for assistance.
  • Research and gather information from consumer calls, traffic data, and preliminary records.
  • Verify information, determine importance, and update internal files and the computer database with business reliability reports.
Information Dissemination:
  • Respond to consumers with general information about BBB services, Business Reviews, and Consumer Tips.
  • Refer inquiries that are outside of the BBB's purview to appropriate external organizations.
Database Maintenance:
  • Add new businesses to the database.
  • Update the database with information based on suspicious activity from inquiries received.
  • Work various data quality projects designed by your supervisor.
Internal and External Engagement:
  • Attend all required department and general BBB meetings.
  • Participate in BBB events, such as Secure Your ID Day, as required.
  • Support BBB growth by identifying potential qualified business leads for referral.
General Support:
  • Monitor the general office email account upon the needs of the supervisor.
  • Perform additional assignments as designated by the supervisor.
  • Successful peformance in this role requires demonstrated proficiency in the following areas: Customer Service Communication (Oral & Written) Personal Motivation Planning & Organizational Skills Produce Quality & Accurate Work Dependability to team and tasks
Pay:
$35,000.00
