The American Association of Bovine Practitioners (AABP) is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Information Technology Coordinator (IT Coordinator). AABP is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit organization, with more than 60 years of history serving the cattle veterinary profession. AABP is an international association representing more than 5,000 cattle veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and veterinary students and is supported by a small, close-knit staff. AABP offers employees the opportunity to have a meaningful impact across the organization. Staff work closely with members, volunteer leaders, committees, and industry partners to provide educational programs, professional resources, conferences, and other services to our membership. This position offers an opportunity to take significant ownership of the technology that supports the organization. Working as an integral member of a small staff, the IT Coordinator will manage and develop systems used by staff and thousands of members while also supporting major AABP events and programs. The position is well suited for an experienced IT professional who enjoys variety, solving problems independently, working directly with users, and seeing the immediate impact of their work across an organization.

- (25-30 days per year) IT Coordinator will attend the AABP Recent Graduate Conference (February
- 5 days), AABP Annual Conference (September
- 7 days), and spring Board of Directors Meeting (March
- 5 days). The employee will also work from the AABP office located in Ashland, Ohio when needed but typically not more than 5-10 days per year.
Compensation:
Gross starting annual salary of $79,000.

- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer sciences or a related field or equivalent professional experience
- Demonstrated experience with Windows Server administration
- Experience with relational databases, preferably MariaDB/MySQL
- Experience with web development and IIS Required qualifications:
- Experience with Python and/or another programming language
- Networking and cybersecurity knowledge
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel and provide on-site technical support during conferences
