Where You'll Work Hybrid:
This is a hybrid role based in Denver, CO with the expectations to be in office at least 3 days a week for collaboration and connection. Why this Role Matters You will be part of a dynamic team that is passionate about driving innovation in the legal technology space. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge tools and collaborate with industry experts to deliver solutions that make a real difference in the legal profession. What You'll Deliver Define and evolve enterprise data architecture standards, translating business and product requirements into scalable, cloud-native designs Design and oversee cloud data platforms, including data lakes, warehouses, and distributed processing systems to support analytical and operational workloads Architect reliable ETL/ELT and event-driven data pipelines, ensuring data quality, lineage, scalability, and fault tolerance Partner with product, engineering, AI, and security teams to enable analytics, reporting, and AI-driven capabilities Design data models across relational, NoSQL, and analytical platforms optimized for performance, scalability, and schema evolution Lead data governance, security, and compliance architecture, including encryption, access controls, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, SOC 2) Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers, reviewing designs and elevating architectural best practices Document architectural decisions, data flows, and standards to ensure clarity, consistency, and long-term maintainability We're committed to creating an inclusive environment. What You'll Bring Must-Have:
8+ years of experience in data architecture or data engineering, including building production-grade cloud SaaS data platforms Strong hands-on experience with Azure data services (e.g., Synapse, Data Lake, Cosmos DB, Service Bus) Ability to produce clear, well-structured data architecture documentation and clearly communicate technical trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proven expertise in data modeling, ETL/ELT pipeline design, event-driven data architectures and distributed data processin g architectures Solid understanding of data security and governance, including encryption, RBAC, and multi-tenant data architectures Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Information Technology, or a related field ( Master's preferred)
Nice-to-Have:
Experience supporting analytics and AI/ML platforms, including data foundations for LLM or advanced analytics use cases Familiarity with Snowflake or similar enterprise cloud data warehousing platforms Hands-on experience with distributed processing frameworks such as Spark or Databricks Exposure to data quality frameworks, validation tooling, and observability practices Background in legal tech, regulated SaaS, or highly compliance-driven enterprise platforms We know great candidates don't always check every box. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, education, and other relevant qualifications. This role is also eligible to participate in a company bonus plan. In addition to base salary, Litera offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) with company match, and incentive and recognition programs.
