The Senior Data Center Controls Manager leads all aspects of data center construction projects for our global tech client in Cedar Rapids, IA. This role oversees vendor compliance with construction documents and program requirements to improve and standardize data center controls execution processes. This job is part of the Project Management function responsible for the management of projects from initiation through completion. This role requires onsite presence in Cedar Rapids, IA. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provide thorough verbal and written technical guidance to control integration partners deploying SCADA and PLC systems. Developing and troubleshooting FactoryTalk applications. Developing and troubleshooting Ignition applications. Developing and troubleshooting Rockwell PLC programs. Modbus, BACnet, VLAN (sub-networks), Cisco switch configuration, Schneider Electric PowerSCADA. Support onsite commissioning of electrical switchgear and mechanical cooling equipment. Create documentation to improve and standardize data center controls execution processes. Including creating new specifications and updating existing. Provide verbal and written feedback to internal teams to drive continuous product improvements. Including creating bounty bugs that include a problem statement with a proposed solution. Travel to construction sites (~2 trip a month) to audit quality, provide feedback, and technical guidance to site controls vendors. Remotely troubleshoot and solve high priority site issues as they arise. Work with various onsite GC/CSI teams to ensure they are adhering to best practices, maintaining asset trackers, updating checkout sheets, and are executing high quality work while remaining on schedule. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience with SCADA, PLC, and controls. Experience in mission critical and/or industrial facilities project management. Prior experience in project management with Hyperscale Data Centers preferred. Strong knowledge of MEP construction management with a solid track record of leading capital projects. Google Suite applications experience. Knowledge of BIM or Autodesk ACC is preferred. P6 and Bluebeam experience is preferred. Compensation range for this position is $150,000 - $165,000/year DOE.
