Job Description

Piper Companies is seeking a SQL Server Developer to support a leader in the American tobacco manufacturing industry for a 12-18 month term hybrid role based in Greensboro, NC . The SQL Server Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining SQL server databases for business needs, as well as working closely with business analysts, developers and IT teams. Responsibilities of the
SQL Server Developer Include:
Developing, optimizing, and maintaining SQL Server databases, stored procedures, functions, and triggers Designing and implementing database schemas, tables, and indexes to support application requirements Collaborating with application developers and business analysts to obtain requirements and translating them into database solutions Monitoring database performance, implementing turning and optimization techniques Creating and maintaining documentation for database design, processes, and standards Supporting data integration and ETL processes Qualifications for the SQL Server Developer include:
  • 3+ years of experience in SQL Server database development and administration
  • Proven experience with T-SQL, SQL, and shored procedures
  • Proven experience with database design, normalization, and indexing strategies
  • Proficient in SSIS, SSRS, or other SQL Server tools
  • Experience with SQL Service Broker preferred
  • Experience with cloud-based SQL Server solutions such as Azure etc. preferred
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies preferred
  • Experience with data warehousing concepts and ETL tools preferred Compensation for the
SQL Server Developer:
    Salary:
    $43-$45 USD per hour based on professional experience
