Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Data Coordinator for a long-term contract opportunity in Charleston, SC. This role is ideal for a procurement, data, or business systems professional who enjoys working with Excel, ERP systems, reporting, and process improvement. The Procurement Data Coordinator will support procurement data migration, reporting, troubleshooting, and user support within an education-focused environment. This is a great opportunity to contribute to meaningful system and data initiatives while partnering with Procurement, Accounts Payable, suppliers, and internal customers. The work environment requires strong collaboration, clear communication, and the ability to stay productive while managing multiple priorities. Key Responsibilities
  • Transfer, format, validate, and review procurement data for migration into a new archival system.
  • Verify data integrity, test migrated information, and work with system administrators to resolve formatting or import issues.
  • Pull, analyze, and prepare procurement data for weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reporting.
  • Monitor a shared email inbox and serve as a front-line resource for internal users and suppliers.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, system errors, ERP messages, and procurement integration concerns through resolution when possible.
  • Support communication and coordination between Procurement, Accounts Payable, suppliers, and internal stakeholders while maintaining confidentiality. Compensation and Benefits
  • Pay rate: $20.00 to $24.00 per hour.
  • Employment type: Long-term contract/temporary assignment. Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Support procurement data migration, validation, reporting, and archival system projects.
  • Analyze procurement data and prepare recurring and ad hoc reports.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, ERP error messages, and procurement process concerns.
  • Provide front-line support to internal users, suppliers, Procurement, and Accounts Payable teams.
  • High school diploma and at least 3 years of computer systems, data analytics, or related experience, or a bachelor's degree in a related area.
  • Hands-on procurement experience or experience working with procurement data, processes, or systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
  • Strong comfort working with data, web-based systems, and business applications.
  • Experience with ERP systems or similar business platforms.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to investigate issues, identify root causes, and work toward resolution before escalating.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills when working with internal users and suppliers.
  • Ability to work independently and remain engaged and productive in a remote environment.
  • Ability to handle procurement information securely and confidentially. Preferred Qualifications
  • 4 or more years of related experience involving reporting analytics, database reporting metrics, web-based programs, technical support, or archival systems.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Workday experience.
  • Reporting, analytics, and database reporting experience.
  • Technical support or systems troubleshooting experience.
  • Data archival or data migration experience.
  • Procurement experience, particularly IT procurement.
  • Public-sector or higher education procurement experience.
