Position Summary The Project Information Specialist is responsible for managing, controlling, and coordinating project documentation and information flow for government and federally regulated engineering and construction projects. This role ensures that all project information, records, and deliverables are accurately maintained, compliant with contractual and regulatory requirements, and accessible to project stakeholders. The position serves as a critical interface between engineering, procurement, construction, project controls, and client teams to support efficient project execution. Key Responsibilities Establish and maintain project document control systems in accordance with company procedures and government/client requirements Manage the lifecycle of project documents, including creation, review, distribution, storage, and archiving Ensure compliance with federal regulations, contract requirements, and records management standards (e.g., DOE, DoD, NARA) Maintain electronic document management systems (EDMS) such as Aconex, SharePoint, or similar platforms Track and log incoming/outgoing documents, ensuring version control and accuracy Coordinate document workflows between engineering, construction, subcontractors, and client teams Support preparation and distribution of technical deliverables, reports, drawings, and specifications Monitor document status, deadlines, and deliverable schedules to support project controls Assist with audits, compliance reviews, and records retention requirements Ensure proper classification, security, and handling of sensitive or controlled information Support project closeout activities, including final documentation turnover Required Qualifications Associate's degree or higher in Business, Information Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience 3-7+ years of experience in document control, project information management, or project coordination Experience supporting government or federally regulated projects Working knowledge of document control processes and records management best practices Proficiency with EDMS tools (e.g., Aconex, SharePoint, Documentum, SmartPlant Foundation) Strong organizational, attention to detail, and time management skills Effective communication skills and ability to interface with multidisciplinary teams Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) projects Familiarity with engineering deliverables and drawing management processes Knowledge of federal compliance standards (DOE, DoD, NQA-1, ISO, or similar) Experience managing classified or sensitive information Ability to support multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Work Environment Office-based role within a government or project site environment May require adherence to security protocols and background checks/clearance Occasional site visits or coordination with field teams TRS Staffing Solutions are an equal opportunities employer, and we welcome you to provide OFCCP data voluntarily here (https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=\_kyGdW3ynEG2ncY4aVtVM-Ae8m-ZY39DmkVklULkcVtUNFFBR1g2Sk1EUExNWFpKVTZHRlNTRldaRC4u) We are an equal opportunity employer.
