Work where you matter. A Brief Overview Responsible for the strategic management, accuracy and integrity of all facility documentation within the health system's built environment. The role serves as the primary steward of existing facility record drawings as CAD or BIM models, develops and maintains drafting standards and templates, produces construction-ready floor plan updates and ensures comprehensive project closeout documentation is collected, validated and archived with each facility, owned, leased or sponsored. This position requires a knowledge within healthcare-specific regulatory and code requirements and the technical proficiency to translate physical facility changes into reliable accessible records for Avera management and fiscal departments. What you will do Creates, organizes and archives architectural floor plans for survey compliance documentation for Avera facilities. Supports the development of Life Safety Code plans for Avera facilities. Works directly with Senior Management at the Health System and in the regions with respect to development and support of strategic facility master plans. Supports Avera facilities in the preparing of code compliance documentation for JCAHO and State Department of Health Surveys and participates in mock surveys to ensure building code compliance. Serves as system administrator for the organization's Revit. Installs and configures hardware and software applications that pertain directly to AutoCAD/Revit or associated software and peripherals. Possess or acquires skills use of IBC, IFC, NFPA, ADA, and other governing codes affecting health care. Creates space use and egress drawings and databases for Avera facilities. Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
Associate's or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school in a drafting or construction related field 4-6 years experience and proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft Office Expectations and Standards Commitment to the daily application of Avera's mission, vision, core values, and social principles to serve patients, their families, and our community.
