Job Description

Information Services - Assistant Manager Overview Texas Refinery Corp, a 100+ year old family‑owned company and a leader in premium maintenance products, is seeking an Information Services Assistant Manager to support and grow our enterprise systems infrastructure. The candidate should be experienced in enterprise applications and database administration to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our information systems. This role plays a key part in supporting and advancing the company's enterprise systems, working closely with Information Services leadership to ensure reliable operations, security, and scalable growth as business needs evolve. Key Responsibilities Administer, monitor, and optimize information systems for ERP, CRM, HRMS, Asset Management, and other enterprise applications. Perform database maintenance, backups, troubleshooting, and system tuning. Develop and maintain reports using Crystal Reports and SQL-based tools. Provide technical support and resolve system related issues. Document system configurations, procedures, and workflows. Support system upgrades, patching, and performance optimization. Collaborate with Information Services leadership on system enhancements and initiatives. Coordinate with vendors and internal departments. Participate in planning, scheduling, and implementation of IT projects. Train end-users and deliver ongoing system support. Qualifications Bachelor's degree - Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent practical experience. Strong proficiency and experience administering and supporting SQL and other production database environments. Experience supporting enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, and HRMS platforms. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex system issues and take ownership of assigned systems or projects. Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills. Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly. Relevant certifications related to database administration, enterprise systems, reporting tools, or IT operations are a plus, but not required. Physical Requirements Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while performing work duties. Ability to occasionally lift and move IT equipment. Ability to access data centers, network closets, and office areas which may involve navigating tight spaces. Benefits Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
