Job Description

Supervises, plans, and coordinates the work of employees engaged in the production and maintenance of management information data and police records and reports. Assign and supervise the work of all personnel in the Police Records department; Develop information formats and accountability for entering information into the computer system; Supervise the preparation of Uniform Crime Report and other official reports to state and federal Agencies; Reconcile incident reports with records of the dispatching/receptionist section; Work with the Information Services concerning necessary data requirements for management information; Train personnel in record keeping procedures; Prepare reports and correspondence as needed; Perform related duties as directed. Completion of a high school diploma or the equivalent with an additional three years of experience involving electronic and manual records maintenance; or any combination of relevant education and experience which provides the following: Valid Driver's License required
Knowledge of:
Use of electronic data information systems.
Ability to:
Direct the work of subordinates; Communicate effectively with others; Prepare and administer a budget; Pass an extensive background investigation to receive security clearance; Exercise excellent judgment and responsibility in storing and issuing sensitive information Physical Requirements Occasionally lift up to 10 pounds Occasionally flex upper trunk forward and at the waist and partially flexing of knees Occasionally rotate upper trunk to the right or left or forward while sitting or standing Place arms above, at or below shoulder height
