Job Description:
The Data Architect''''s role is to ensure high level of data quality across the enterprise through the creation and management of sound data management processes. This individual is responsible for establishing metadata and registries, standardizing data naming, establishing consistent data definitions, associated business rules and monitoring overall data quality. The Data Architect will sponsor the evaluation and selection of all infrastructure components (such as software) for data management systems. Data stewardship protects and foster specific data collections for specific purposes (like a data warehouse for business intelligence or marketing databases), a corporate asset view requires that a cross functional needs are established and maintained. Governance bodies and stewards must exert change on business and technical people-who own the data and its processes-when opportunities for improvement arise. Serves as a senior subject matter expert associated with content, processes, and procedures associated with Enterprise data acquisition and business intelligence plans. Prepares and participates in deep dive technical evaluation meetings, investigating processes to understand data and communications flow within Facility Health Plan.
Key Responsibilities:
Enterprise Architecture & Design:
Lead architecture/design/deployment and technical quality of enterprise solutions spanning multiple technologies; research and recommend tools/standards; enable synchronization of data across entry points; ensure new systems adhere to data management practices and policies; and lead data warehouse discussions on modeling/integration/solution design.
Data Integrity & Quality Management:
Create and implement data management strategy; enforce validation at point of entry; perform regular data audits tied to performance measures; coordinate mass data-cleansing initiatives; and apply continuous quality improvement practices.
Problem Analysis & Remediation:
Identify and resolve data quality issues (uniqueness, integrity, accuracy, consistency, completeness); determine root causes, implement solutions, and communicate findings; ensure PM/SDLC methods include deliverables required for high-quality data.
Required Qualifications:
7+ years experience in data warehouse/business intelligence and internet/client-server system. Three (3) years of RDBMS experience in data types, change control implications, performance optimization and full life cycle phase software development. SQL; Qlik; Health catalyst; Snowflake Required and EPIC is a plus
