Overview We are seeking a highly motivated Data Governance Lead to drive enterprise-wide data governance initiatives and ensure data integrity, quality, and compliance across major projects. This role requires a hands-on leader who can balance strategic thinking with execution, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement sustainable data solutions at scale. The ideal candidate will bring strong systems thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Lead and drive data governance initiatives to ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance across the organization Apply systems engineering thinking to design and implement sustainable data solutions across large-scale projects Collaborate with IT, business operations, and governance stakeholders to enforce data governance policies and standards Communicate data governance concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Take a proactive, hands-on approach to ensure deliverables are met, often stepping beyond defined scope when needed Balance customer needs with data governance requirements, ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide standards Identify opportunities to improve data governance frameworks for better scalability and integration Facilitate workshops, meetings, and collaboration sessions using tools such as Zoom, Mural, and Draw.io Manage multiple priorities and projects while maintaining organization and execution quality Qualifications Required Skills & Experience Strong leadership, relationship-building, and communication skills Proven ability to take initiative and deliver results in a hands-on environment Systems thinking mindset with experience applying it to data or enterprise solutions Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills Preferred Knowledge & Skills Strong understanding of data governance principles, standards, and best practices Experience with data governance and data management tools (e.g., Collibra, Snowflake) Proficiency in SQL (ability to create and edit basic queries) Experience with Power BI, Excel (advanced level), SharePoint, Wiki/HTML editing Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify data issues and derive insights Knowledge of data privacy and security regulations Ability to identify and resolve data discrepancies and quality issues Experience managing data governance frameworks and multiple concurrent initiatives Proficiency in collaboration and facilitation tools such as Zoom, Mural, and Draw.io Looking for meaningful work?
