3 Months Role Overview We are seeking a data-driven Senior Business Intelligence Consultant to join our team in Redmond. This role is designed for a professional who thrives on bridging the gap between complex data engineering and executive-level strategy. You will be responsible for architecting automated ETL pipelines, managing petabyte-scale data platforms, and delivering data-validated solutions that drive high-level decision-making. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of managing data integrity through major migrations and leveraging statistical modeling to solve intricate business problems in the tech and finance sectors.
Key Responsibilities Data Architecture & ETL Engineering:
Design and deploy high-volume automated ETL pipelines processing 4+ billion records daily using Apache Iceberg, AWS Glue, and Lambda to ensure high-performance querying and efficient refresh cycles.
Stakeholder Management:
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and Product Managers to define KPIs and deliver strategic reports for L10/VP-level leadership.
Querying & Database Management:
Run complex queries and manage disparate logging systems across AWS environments, including Redshift, Aurora, S3, and Athena.
Risk Management & Quality Assurance:
Lead data integrity validation during large-scale system migrations (e.g., Salesforce 1.0 to 2.0) and develop custom SQL logic to mitigate human input errors and environmental risks.
Advanced Analytics:
Leverage data science techniques such as A/B testing, regression models, and segmentation algorithms to identify high-value opportunities and optimize operational performance.
Reporting & Visualization:
Create and maintain high-visibility dashboards (QuickSight, Tableau) utilizing SPICE and calculated fields to automate Weekly, Monthly, and Quarterly Business Reviews.
Required Qualifications Experience:
Minimum of 4+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, or a related consulting role.
AWS Fluency:
Deep technical expertise in the AWS ecosystem, specifically Redshift, S3, Athena, Glue, and QuickSight.
Technical Stack:
Languages:
Expert-level SQL, Python, and Spark.
Databases:
Experience with Trino, EMR, MySQL, and Microsoft SQL Server.
Tools:
Proficiency in Airflow, Tableau, Power BI, and Excel VBA.
Analytical Skills:
Strong background in statistical modeling, including Bayesian Analysis, Decision Trees, and Random Forests.
Education:
B.S. in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related quantitative field. Preferred Skills Experience in Risk Management, specifically conducting root cause analysis on hardware or environmental failure rates. Proven ability to automate manual reporting processes, saving significant daily man-hours for organizational stakeholders. Ability to manage 30,000+ project migrations across diverse global regions.
