The Research and Technology Center North America (RTC-NA) is committed to providing technologies and system solutions for various Bosch business fields primarily in the areas of Human Machine Interaction (HMI), Robotics, Energy Technologies, Internet Technologies, Circuit Design, Semiconductors and Wireless, and MEMS Advanced Design.

Job DescriptionThe internship offers an opportunity to work in an experienced sensor systems team in the field of novel sensor applications. The goal of this internship will be to investigate and propose unique customer sensor applications, help evaluate the business impact and create a prototype/demonstrator. The sensing modalities include audible- and ultra-sound, IMU data, pressure and more. The position may involve paper / patent research, data collection and curation, system design, model training and evaluation as well as design, assembly and tuning of prototypes. The applicant will be asked to document their results and propose next steps. The intern will get the opportunity to present the results to upper management and may be able to submit selected topics to conferences as well as secure IP.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
Master or PhD candidate, computer science or electrical engineering or related fieldsMinimum GPA of 3.0Solid background in MATLAB and Python for signal processingExperience with C/C++Experience with time series signals processing and feature extractionExperienced in using different machine learning libraries and tools (e.g. TensorFlow)This internship will be 3-6 months in duration, with 6 months preferred. 
Desired Qualifications:
Late PhD candidate in electrical/computer engineeringPrototyping experience for sensor application.

Solid background in analog and digital signal processing as well as sensor fusion.

Experience with lightweight machine learning model training and optimization.

Additional InformationThe U.S. base salary range for this intern position is $32.00 - $69.00 per hour. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, type of degree, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, type of position, job location, etc. Your Hiring Manager can share more details about the specific salary range for this position during the interview process.
