Job Description
Summary:
Under the supervision of the GIS Manager, updates and edits all aspects of the Town of Berthoud's (Town) Geographic Information System (GIS). This position performs a wide variety of GIS duties which include editing and updating databases, cartography, programming, operational support, application maintenance, and database quality control. This is an interdepartmental support position that will work to leverage GIS tools to spatial applications in all departments.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The below list is intended to be illustrative of the responsibilities of the position and not all encompassing. The Town may change these duties at any time. Collaborate with the GIS Manager to develop applications, update databases, and produce maps to support Town operations. Configures, maintains, and updates GIS applications using ESRI-based platforms, including but not limited to ArcGIS Online (AGOL), Dashboards, Field Maps, Survey123, Map Viewer, and Experience Builder. Updates and maintains GIS features utilizing construction drawings, field data, and related documentation. Produces and delivers reports, datasets, and complex maps for both internal and external stakeholders. Collects and verifies asset data in the field using Field Maps and GPS equipment. Edits and maintains GIS databases, including schema design, data integrity, and metadata documentation. Scan engineering and other related documents for the digital repository. Provides technical expertise and support for asset management software and related GIS integrations. Assist with SaaS implementation.Other Duties and Responsibilities:

Proficient in the ESRI software suite, including ArcGIS Online (AGOL) and ArcGIS Pro. •Strong understanding of modern GIS principles, coordinate systems, and data projections. Knowledge of GIS data formats such as geodatabases, shapefiles, rasters, and imagery. Familiar with relational databases and their application in GIS environments. Experienced in GPS and field data collection methods. Able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences. Capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Skilled in building and maintaining effective working relationships with staff, developers, and contractors.Education:
Associate's degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university is required. An equivalent combination of education or experience may substitute for education requirement.Work Experience:
A required minimum of 1 year of progressive GIS work experience or an equivalent combination of education or experience may substitute for work requirement.Certificates and Licenses:
Required Colorado Driver's License Required Part 107 Certification and License is preferredWork Environment:
