Scan Technician

Digital Building Services is seeking a candidate in the Orlando, Florida area interested in operating a 3D laser scanning system to capture data at a project site. Candidates should be willing to train in Faro laser scanning systems and follow DBS procedures for documenting their progress while on-site. No prior experience is required, but a basic understanding of building systems and surveying methodology is a plus. Compensation will be based on the candidates level of experience. A high school diploma or GED is required at a minimum and the candidate must be able to pass a federal background check. Most of DBS' projects are located at airports or other high security environments. We currently have projects in Atlanta, Austin, Dallas, Tampa and Seattle. Most projects last 1-2 weeks on-site and follow-up office work is done remotely from your home. Once trained as a technician, DBS offers a career path through survey data processing and building information modeling.
