Job Description
Job Details Foothills Rare Earths LLC is advancing regolith-hosted and bedrock rare earth element (REE) systems in the southeastern United States. The company focuses on systematic target generation, drilling, and technical advancement of critical mineral projects through integrated geological, geochemical, and geophysical workflows. Position Overview We are seeking a mid-level GIS Analyst to support exploration programs through data management, mapping, and workflow automation. This role works closely with the geology team and is responsible for integrating, organizing, and visualizing spatial datasets to support targeting, reporting, and day-to-day decision making. Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain GIS datasets across multiple projects Integrate geological, geochemical, geophysical, and drillhole data Produce high-quality maps, figures, and spatial analysis outputs Build and maintain dashboards for data visualization Automate workflows using Python and SQL Perform data QA/QC and ensure consistency across datasets Support drill targeting and exploration planning Prepare professional figures and report graphics using Adobe Illustrator Maintain organized and accessible data systems for the geology team Qualifications Required B.S. in GIS, Geography, Geology, or related field 3-7 years of GIS or geospatial experience Proficiency in ArcGIS or QGIS Experience with databases (AcQuire, SQL, or similar) Experience with scripting or automation (Python preferred) Strong data organization and problem-solving skills Preferred Experience in mineral exploration or geology Experience with drillhole, geochemical, or geophysical datasets Experience with dashboards (Power BI, ArcGIS Dashboards, or similar) Experience with Adobe Illustrator Exposure to Leapfrog or 3D modeling workflows Field Expectations Occasional outdoor site visits in variable terrain and weather conditions Strict adherence to company safety and data integrity standards Engagement Structure This position is a full-time W2 employee role.
