Advises on common business practices, planning, policy, and program development for local use. Contributes to the development of guidelines, regulations, and policies concerning GIS and GPS usage in the US Army Garrison (USAG) area. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to plan, coordinate, and accomplish all tasks necessary to support a variety of projects. Provides technical assistance to USAG Hawaii elements in solving unique or complicated engineering problems through state-of-the-art computer equipment and technology and a wide variety of computer applications used by the engineering profession. Coordinates Division training needs, presentation of training courses and preparation of operating protocol. Serves as the Division technical point of contact with the development and implementation of geographic information systems implementation plans. Requirements Conditions of employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. This position requires the incumbent to be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time This position requires a valid driver's license.
