For more detailed information, please visit our benefits page at SCBenefits. Responsible for the update and maintenance of multiple GIS data layers. Interprets complex legal descriptions. Researches land transactions and compiles parcel change information into the GIS spatial database. Produces procedural documentation for those particular processes under their control. Interviews clients to determine elements of mapping requests. Fulfills requests for various mapping products. Research, compile and enter changes in the GIS spatial database Maintains Cadastral data layers Maintains Tax, City Annex, PLSS, and Election data layers Maintains other data layers as assigned Maintains process documentation Maintains internal procedures Maintains progress reports on a regular basis Assists the public and fulfills requests for mapping products Assists walk-in and call-in customers Prepares basic maps as requested
Minimum Qualifications:
Two years of Cadastral cartographic experience performing data compilation and entry. Previous experience with ESRI software (ArcPro) and editing feature classes. Understanding of legal descriptions and the Public Land Survey System. High School diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
Five years practical use of ESRI software to include ArcGIS desktop editing tools, COGO and the use of ancillary ArcPro products to maintain cadastral data. Familiarity with ESRI Parcel Fabric. Two years of post-secondary education or training in computer aided drafting or
GIS. ESRI
