Job Description
The Department of Planning, Zoning, & Community Development is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Enterprise GIS Analyst to assist with the standardization, management, and creation of data and applications within the ESRI Enterprise Platform. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring data consistency, optimizing workflows, and delivering enterprise-wide geospatial data and solutions for our department as well as a variety of departments of the Wicomico County government. Under the general supervision of the GIS Manager, the GIS professional will support long-range planning initiatives and program administration activities for Wicomico County.
Duties:
Assists in the data development and maintenance of an enterprise GIS platform for the Planning Department. Assists other County departments with GIS data development, GIS software training and related activities. Researches, compiles, creates data and related mapping for access by County departments. Creates and implements interactive web maps and data collection tools for a variety of County departments. Develops custom GIS tools/scripts using SQL, Python, Survey123, Collector. Conducts and presents advanced GIS analyses of spatial data for users, as well as elected and appointed officials within County government. Coordinates internal team members and interns in the completion of spatial data development and collection projects. Obtains and manages grants, consultant contracts, and project / program budgets. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Planning or a closely related field with an emphasis onGIS. 3-5
years of GIS experience and knowledge in areas of work concentration. Demonstrated proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS Platform (ArcGIS XX, ArcPro, ArcGIS online, Experience Builder, Survey 123, Portal and Model Builder). Experience in SQL, Python, JavaScript, HTML. Valid Driver's License & ability to pass drug test and background check.Apply online here:
