GIS Mapper #26-03848 Somerset, NJ On-site Contract Starts 4/27/2026 Ends 3/01/2028 Job Description Genesis10 is currently seeking a GIS Mapper for a contract position with a Major Utility Company located in Somerset, NJ. This is a 24+ month contract opportunity.

Pay range:

$19.40 - $29.40 per Hour This role involves working on assignments related to recording and producing information for the construction, operation, and maintenance of electric utility systems. The successful candidate will maintain the GIS connected model, perform data analysis, and prepare reports, tabulations, charts, and maps based on asset information.

Responsibilities:

Maintain the GIS connected model with information from sources including, but not limited to, work management systems, as-built construction drawings, work orders,pletion records, and field reports Perform analysis or queries to assemble data and prepare reports, tabulations, charts and maps from asset information Produce standard s and ad-hoc plots for field requests Maintain service point data and the relationship to feeding source transformer Track lifespan of utility asset data, including history, inspection and attachments Resolve conflicting data, mapping, connectivity, and land issues through office or field investigation Perform GIS work pertaining to major projects such as facility relocations, load rearrangement and new business Operate automated office equipment including ers, plotters, duplication machines, and scanners Perform manual orputer aided drafting Operate a car or light truck Assist other employees in plant work, in the field, or in the office

Requirements:

1-2 years of GIS experience (school or work-related) Ability to acquire a thorough working knowledge of the business applications, materials, and equipment Knowledge of Transmission and Distribution systems Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license to operate motor vehicles in the state of New Jersey Computer skills in MS Office and other Windows applications Able to work at various locations based on business needs/workload Desired skills: Experience with MicroStation or AutoCAD Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
