Job Description
Geographer / Senior GIS Analyst This role delivers advanced, enterprise-level GIS services supporting Bonneville Power Administration's Geomatics organization and its transmission, environmental, land management, and construction projects. The position is responsible for GIS database administration, workflow design, spatial analysis, and the development of high-quality geospatial products using ESRI technologies. The Geographer collaborates closely with IT and project stakeholders to manage multi-user GIS environments, ensure data quality and compliance, and develop automated tools, scripts, and web mapping applications. The role also provides technical leadership, project facilitation, documentation, training, and geographic expertise for long-range planning and infrastructure development initiatives. Key Skills & Competencies Advanced GIS analysis and enterprise geospatial data management ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, Utility Network, Parcel Fabric, Workflow Manager, and Field Maps SDE geodatabase administration and multi-user versioned editing workflows Custom geoprocessing, automation, and QA/QC using Python and GIS modeling tools Web mapping and application development (JavaScript, Python, HTML, CSS) Spatial data visualization, cartography, and production of publication-quality maps and reports Database design, data validation, metadata standards, and authoritative feature layer management Knowledge of GIS data standards, best practices, and industry workflows Project coordination, technical consultation, and stakeholder collaboration Documentation, records management, and compliance with information security standards Ability to train, mentor, or lead technicians in GIS analytical procedures Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Vancouver, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $53.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
