EDR is seeking an experienced, versatile, team-oriented GIS Project Manager to join our growing Geospatial Services Practice Area. This position offers the opportunity to lead GIS projects that support environmental, planning, engineering, cultural resources, visualization, and energy initiatives throughout the United States. This is a hybrid position that will be based in our Syracuse, Rochester, or Albany, NY office. As a GIS Project Manager, you will coordinate and manage projects from proposal development through final delivery, working closely with clients, regulatory agencies, and multidisciplinary project teams. You will play a key role in advancing EDR's GIS capabilities through business development while helping clients solve complex spatial and environmental challenges. What You'll Do Manage GIS projects from scope development and budgeting through execution and delivery. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders. Lead and mentor GIS analysts and technical staff. Perform and oversee advanced GIS analysis, mapping, data management, and spatial modeling. Coordinate project schedules, budgets, invoicing, and deliverables. Ensure quality and consistency through project QA/QC reviews. Collaborate with environmental scientists, planners, engineers, cultural resource specialists, visualization professionals, and other technical experts. Support business development through proposal preparation, client relationship management, networking, and strategic growth initiatives. Contribute to the continued development of EDR's Geospatial Practice Area and technical standards. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, Planning, Environmental Studies, or a related field. 8-10 years of professional GIS experience, including project management responsibilities. Advanced knowledge of GIS software, spatial analysis, database management, and mapping applications. Experience managing project budgets, schedules, scopes, and client relationships. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Experience mentoring technical staff and coordinating multidisciplinary teams. GIS Professional (GISP) certification, or progress toward certification, is preferred. The anticipated base pay range of $85,000-$110,000 per year is commensurate with experience. EDR reserves the right to pay outside of the target range based on an individual's education, credentials, skill level and relevant experience, as well as internal pay equity, geographic location, and business needs.
