Vantor seeks a GIS Engineer to design, implement, and optimize secure geospatial solutions within our Defense & Aerospace programs. In this IT & Data Management role, you will architect GIS platforms, integrate diverse geospatial datasets, build web mapping services, and support mission-critical analytics that power defense operations. You'll collaborate with AI and cloud teams to enable advanced geospatial intelligence while ensuring compliance with security and industry standards. Responsibilities Design, deploy, and maintain secure GIS solutions for defense and aerospace programs Develop and optimize geospatial data models, ETL workflows, and map services Integrate GIS platforms with enterprise IT and data management systems Implement geospatial analytics to support mission planning and situational awareness Ensure compliance with defense industry security and data standards Collaborate with AI, data, and cloud teams to enable advanced geospatial analytics Troubleshoot performance, reliability, and data quality issues in GIS environments Document architectures, configurations, and operational procedures Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices and standards Partner with stakeholders to translate mission needs into GIS technical solutions Required Skills GIS system design and implementation Esri Arc GIS suite (Desktop, Pro, Enterprise, Online) Geospatial data modeling and management Python scripting for geoprocessing SQL and spatial databases (PostGIS, SQL
