As the Task Lead, you will serve as the single point of accountability to the Project Chief and function as the primary Technical Liaison. You will be responsible for defining work schedules (in accordance with SOW 8), leading advanced spatial modeling and geodatabase design, conducting rigorous technical reviews, and acting as the first line of escalation for technical, equipment, or data issues.
Key Responsibilities Project Management :
Serve as the single point of accountability to the Project Chief and act as the primary Technical Liaison for the task.
Scheduling & Planning:
Establish, manage, and agree upon comprehensive work schedules in strict accordance with Statement of Work (SOW 8) guidelines.
Advanced GIS & Modeling:
Lead complex georeferencing workflows, advanced geodatabase design, spatial modeling, and high-level publication-quality cartography.
Technical Oversight & Quality Assurance:
Perform final technical reviews on all processed datasets and maps, ensuring absolute compliance with project protocols and scientific rigor.
Reporting & Compliance:
Prepare, finalize, and deliver formal monthly progress reports and quarterly In-Progress Reviews (IPRs) for leadership.
Issue Resolution:
Act as the first escalation point to troubleshoot and resolve any critical equipment, software, or data integrity problems.
Qualifications & Experience Education:
Master's or Bachelor's degree in Geology, GIS, Geosciences, Remote Sensing, or a closely related field.
Experience:
5+ years of professional experience in GIS and geological mapping, with a proven track record in a supervisory, team lead, or senior technical capacity.
Technical Skills:
Expert-level proficiency with advanced GIS platforms (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, QGIS, or similar). Deep expertise in complex spatial modeling, terrain analysis, and advanced geodatabase architecture. Strong familiarity with federal data standards, including FGDC metadata protocols. Experience overseeing publication-ready cartographic outputs.
Leadership Competencies:
Proven ability to manage project timelines, deliver executive-level technical reports, and effectively liaise between technical staff and senior leadership.
Pay:
$73,704.16 - $88,762.01 per year
