Job Description
Job Summary The IT & Business Manufacturing Systems Manager is responsible for leading the company's technology infrastructure, manufacturing systems, software development, and business process automation. This position ensures that all technology solutions support efficient manufacturing operations, improve productivity, and provide reliable business intelligence across the organization. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with manufacturing knowledge and strong leadership skills. This role oversees system administration, ERP management, software development, cybersecurity, network infrastructure, and continuous improvement initiatives while working closely with every department to optimize business processes. Duties Manage all company IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, computers, printers, wireless systems, and cloud services. Ensure high availability, performance, and security of all IT systems. Maintain disaster recovery plans, backups, and business continuity procedures. Oversee cybersecurity initiatives, firewall management, antivirus protection, and user security awareness. Manage software licensing and technology assets. Coordinate with outside vendors and technology partners. Manufacturing Systems Administer and improve manufacturing software and ERP systems. Support production scheduling, inventory management, purchasing, quality control, and shipping systems. Develop system enhancements that improve manufacturing efficiency. Create automated workflows that reduce manual processes. Analyze manufacturing data to identify opportunities for process improvements. Software Development Design, develop, and maintain internal business applications. Create custom reports, dashboards, and business intelligence tools. Develop system integrations between ERP, CRM, accounting, HR, and manufacturing software. Maintain databases and application performance. Troubleshoot software issues and implement solutions. Business Process Improvement Evaluate existing workflows and identify automation opportunities. Lead continuous improvement projects throughout the organization. Work with department managers to streamline operations. Develop documentation for system processes and procedures. Recommend technology solutions that improve operational efficiency. Leadership & Support Lead and mentor IT personnel and technical staff. Prioritize IT projects and manage implementation timelines. Provide technical support for all departments. Train employees on software systems and new technologies. Establish IT policies, procedures, and best practices. Manage IT budgets and technology purchasing. Data & Reporting Develop executive dashboards and KPI reporting. Maintain data accuracy across business systems. Create SQL queries and reporting tools. Support financial and operational reporting requirements. Ensure data integrity and security.
