This role combines deep hands-on networking expertise with strong leadership capability to drive infrastructure reliability, global connectivity, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is both a technical leader and an operational strategist—someone who can architect and troubleshoot complex network environments while managing distributed teams across regions (including Taiwan). This individual will play a critical role in ensuring high availability, secure infrastructure, and seamless cross-regional collaboration. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Cypress IT department, including team management, performance oversight, and strategic direction
- Define and execute IT roadmap aligned with business goals and global operations
- Architect, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN networks, including routing, firewall policies, and traffic optimization
- Serve as the highest escalation point for complex infrastructure and network issues
- Ensure reliable and secure global connectivity, including site-to-site VPNs and intranet systems across regions
- Lead incident response efforts and drive root cause analysis (RCA) with structured documentation and preventative actions
- Partner with DevOps teams to support cloud infrastructure, DNS architecture, and core services
- Manage IT vendors, contracts, and SLAs (e.g., ISPs, Office 365, DNS, email services)
- Oversee IT asset lifecycle and procurement processes
- Develop and enforce IT security policies, including access controls, firewall rules, and compliance standards
- Implement and maintain IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL) Required Qualifications 5-10 years of experience in IT operations and network engineering Minimum 2+ years in an IT management or supervisory role Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related field Technical Expertise
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, and routing protocols
- Hands-on experience with IPv4/IPv6 environments (deployment, migration, troubleshooting)
- Proven experience configuring firewalls and routers (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Juniper, Meraki)
- Strong troubleshooting capability for complex and intermittent network issues
- Experience with enterprise systems (Office 365, email routing, DNS architecture)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Leadership & Operations
- Experience managing globally distributed teams (US and APAC time zones)
- Proven ability to mentor, evaluate, and scale technical teams
- Experience managing IT budgets, procurement, and project delivery
- Familiarity with ITIL or similar service management frameworks
