KPMG is currently seeking a Manager in State & Local Advisory for our Consulting practice.

Responsibilities :

Lead complex, client-facing public sector IT workstreams, bringing deep expertise in overseeing IT system alignments, agile/product workflows, transformational engagements and technical delivery

Manage cross functional teams to deliver excellent client service, including stakeholder management, meeting and workshop facilitation, deliverable creation and project and financial management. Act as a resilient local leader who drives project milestones, navigates complex stakeholder dynamics, and ensures cohesive delivery

Present technical milestones and project updates to senior decision-makers; utilize exceptional interpersonal skills to build trust with state officials across complex, multi-agency stakeholder landscapes

Drive the creation and advancement of thought leadership, internal and external tools and resources and training

Contribute to the development and evolution of methodologies and intellectual capital including articles, whitepapers and methodology guides

Participate in business development efforts by identifying new opportunities and assisting with proposal responses and client outreach

Qualifications :

Minimum five years of recent relevant work experience related to one or more of the following areas: project management, delivery, or technical leadership with at least three years of experience serving in a lead capacity

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university required

Must reside in the Sacramento region (or be willing to relocate) to provide immediate, on-site, billable impact on the State of California account.

Strong, demonstrated acumen in State of California government operations and deep expertise in managing complex public sector IT implementations.

Proven experience leading agile/product workflows, driving cohesive delivery, and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Prior work managing a portfolio of activities within a project or team, including setting priorities, balancing competing deadlines and lead conversations and create stakeholder engagement with clients and colleagues across an organizational hierarchy

Travel as necessary

California Salary Range:

$137180 - $241500
