Job Description
Director of IT & Systems Administrator For Manufacturing Entity We are seeking a versatile Manufacturing IT & Systems Administrator to own our end-to-end technical environment. In this role, you will be the sole point of contact for all IT and operational technology (OT). You will manage our physical and virtual server infrastructure, optimize plant-wide networks, keep Microsoft systems running smoothly, manage equipment, phone systems, and all electronics. You must be comfortable managing standard corporate IT while handling hands-on, day-to-day manufacturing floor requests. Key Responsibilities Server & Systems Administration Build, configure, and maintain physical and virtual on-premise servers and cloud infrastructure. Execute rigorous system backups, disaster recovery protocols, and routine data integrity audits. Manage user directories, domain policies, and system access rights across all business platforms. Maintain all computers, networks and equipment running. Manage and optimize our websites. Manage outside services as needed. Network Management & Security Manage, configure, and monitor switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points. Optimize network segmentation to keep the production floor network secure and isolated from external threats. Troubleshoot complex latency and connectivity issues between office environments and shop floor machinery. Manage all other equipment as needed. Industrial Equipment & Microsoft Support Provide hands-on hardware and software support for industrial computers powering various machines including, Zünd cutting systems . Coordinate directly with operators and machinery vendors to prevent line-down situations. Administer the Microsoft ecosystem , including Windows Server, M365, Active Directory, and web apps. General Plant Operations Provide helpdesk support for desktop PCs, industrial monitors, label printers, and barcode scanners, shipping labels. Source, inventory, and lifecycle-manage all IT assets, software licenses, and shop floor equipment peripherals. Perform all other general facility IT maintenance and technical operational tasks as needed.
